Every river has a name. However, these names disappear when they flow into the great ocean. Aikido has many styles, many names, but Aikido is Aikido. It is my vision and hope that, like the rivers, they flow together and unite as one.

The Intoku Aikido Association was formed in July 2012 as a formalisation of an informal aikido network that has operating for many years. The association draws it name from the Japanese word Intoku translated by Koichi Tohei. The logo features an oft seen brushed circle, representing for us the dynamic sphere of aikido, the cycle of beginning following the end, kohai learning from sempai learning from kohai.
